Barcolana 2013

WALLE G 31th place overall and 2nd place of the cruising boats on more than 1500 boats departing

Good race for Walle G  managed by Altomare Pro Sail, with the owner Bruno Marin at the helm and Marco Augelli like tactitian at the 45th Barcolana, the race with the most participants in the world.
Characterized by very light wind, the race started on time at 10 am.
With more than 1500 boats on a starting line about 2 miles long, the GS43 Walle G, starting on the right side of the line, was able to enter one of the first in a planned and slight breeze from the northwest that has allowed the team Altomare Pro Sail to stretch between the first positions until the second half of the first course of the race.

A great boat handling has allowed to maintain the top positions thus ending with an excellent 31 th place overall and a prestigious 2nd place overall among the cruising boats, behind a 80-foot skipperato by Mauro Pellaschier.
